Leonardo immigrated on 2 Jun 1888 to New York, NY. ³ Leonardo arrived in New York aboard the Cachemire which arrived from Naples, Italy. He was 31 years old and his occupation was listed as farmer.

He appeared in the 1900 census on 5 Jun 1900 in Pittsburgh, PA. ¹ He also appeared in the 1910 census on 15 Apr 1910 in Pittsburgh, PA. ⁶

There are two differening opinions on what Leonardo did for a living. One source has him owning a bakery,² while another source recalls that he was superintendant of a mining operation.⁷ More investigation needs to be done on Leonardo.

Leonardo married Isabella GIALINELLI, daughter of Pasquale GIALINELLI and Angeline PETRUCCI, about 1881.¹ (Isabella GIALINELLI was born on 27 Aug 1861 in Naples, Italy ⁴ ⁵, died on 18 Oct 1933 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA ⁵ ⁶ ⁷ and was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA ⁷.)
